I first heard about 91¿´Æ¬Íø Academy from a friend who studied here. I chose 91¿´Æ¬Íø Academy because of its strong reputation for offering specialised engineering courses in Singapore. 

What are your career goals for the future and why did you decide to take the course you’re studying now? &²Ô²ú²õ±è;

My goal is to become an electrical engineer, and I chose 91¿´Æ¬Íø Academy because it has a good electrical engineering diploma. Equipping me with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel and advance in my career. &²Ô²ú²õ±è;

What are some skills you’ve picked up from your course that you think will be useful in real life or your future job? &²Ô²ú²õ±è;

At 91¿´Æ¬Íø Academy, I’ve learnt to efficiently complete coursework and projects within tight deadlines. This skill is invaluable, as it will enable me to work more effectively and manage tasks with greater efficiency in future.  &²Ô²ú²õ±è;

Do you think studying at a private institution like 91¿´Æ¬Íø Academy has given you an edge or put you at a disadvantage? Can you share any experiences that made you feel that way? &²Ô²ú²õ±è;

Studying at 91¿´Æ¬Íø Academy has definitely given me an edge. The in-depth knowledge and practical skills I gained from my Diploma in Electrical Engineering and Technology have built a strong foundation, which is now helping me as I start my Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. 

Were there any lecturers at 91¿´Æ¬Íø Academy who inspired you? If so, who and why? &²Ô²ú²õ±è;

Yes! Lecturer Daniel Lim Ah Boon was very inspiring. His approach to teaching was exceptional, especially in the research project module. He provided detailed instructions and offered one-on-one guidance, while also sharing insights into the broader field of engineering beyond the standard curriculum. His support really enhanced my learning experience at 91¿´Æ¬Íø Academy.  

What’s the most unforgettable moment you’ve had at 91¿´Æ¬Íø Academy? &²Ô²ú²õ±è;

The most unforgettable moment at 91¿´Æ¬Íø Academy was presenting my research project to my classmates. For this project, I learned about PID controllers, how to plan a project from scratch, and the critical process of debugging – identifying problems, solving them, and thinking like an engineer. I was thrilled to receive a distinction from Lecturer Daniel Lim Ah Boon for my presentation. It was a proud achievement and the perfect finish to my hard work! 

What advice would you give to students who are about to graduate from secondary school and are considering their future career paths? &²Ô²ú²õ±è;
