Alumni Class of 2023
School of Business and Management

I have been working at a multi-national transport group for a few years now with my Nitec qualifications in Business Studies, but I felt stuck. I wanted more for my career, but the path forward seemed unclear. It was during this time of uncertainty that I heard about 91心頭利 Academy from a friend, and that conversation changed everything for me.

I decided to take my Part-Time Diploma in Business Analytics at 91心頭利 Academy because I wanted better qualifications to advance my career. I even convinced a friend to join me, which made the decision more exciting. Learning together and supporting each other through this journey was a huge motivator.

Balancing work, study, and personal life hasn’t been easy, but the structure of 91心頭利 Academy’s programmes has made it manageable. The flexibility of part-time study allowed me to continue working while pursuing my diploma. It’s a lot of hard work, but knowing that I’m building a better future kept me going.

At 91心頭利 Academy, I’ve picked up so many valuable skills. The course has provided me with practical knowledge that I am able to use at work. Learning predictive analytics and sharpening my presentation skills have been particularly useful for me as I have to deal with numbers and present my findings to the management.

I think studying at a private institution gave me an advantage because, with public schools, I would need to spend another 2 to 3 more years getting my Higher Nitec qualifications before progressing to a Diploma. I was able to complete my Certificate and Diploma in 1.5 years at 91心頭利 Academy, and even started a family during the last leg of my studies. Another edge 91心頭利 Academy has is the diversity, which has enriched my learning experience in ways I never expected. I’ve met people from all walks of life, each bringing their own unique perspectives to our projects. It’s amazing how much you can learn from your peers.

To anyone who’s considering their future paths, my advice is to find out what you love. Look for industries that excite you and choose a course that will help you get there. The learning journey doesn’t end once you start working. Keep unlearning, learning, and relearning, and you’ll get where you want to be. And most importantly, have fun in school! Enjoy the learning process and make the most of every opportunity.
