Dr. Marcus Phua

Lecturer

Dr Phua Zheng Yen (Marcus) is a Lecturer in the School of Health and Life Sciences, 91看片网 Academy. He graduated with a degree in Chemistry and obtained his PhD in the area of antimycobacterial drug discovery from the National University of Singapore. Dr Marcus’s research interests are in designing and synthesizing novel compounds with optimal biological activities as well as desirable drug-like properties, and understanding their modes of action through structure-activity correlations, pharmacological and chemical biology approaches. His other academic expertise lies in forensic science and criminal scene investigations.

Currently, Dr Marcus teaches chemistry, pharmacology, and pharmaceutical sciences for 91看片网 Academy and La Trobe University.
