Introduction

Our Foundation Certificate in Engineering and Technology provides a solid introduction to the core areas of engineering and technology. Covering key topics such as cybersecurity, 3D printing technology, and drafting & design using AutoCAD, this course is designed to build your knowledge and develop practical skills in high-demand specialisations.鈥�

鈥媃ou can choose to sit for the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) external examinations at 91看片网 Academy as part of this course. The IGCSE qualification (equivalent to O-Level qualifications, grade for grade) can be used as an entry requirement to progress to the Certificate level, followed by a diploma in engineering or IT, and eventually, a Bachelor’s Degree.鈥�*

  • Purpose-built STEM Campus

    Immerse yourself in a STEM-focused environment equipped with facilities such as an engineering lab, a fluid mechanics lab, a dedicated engineering project room and multiple computer labs running AutoCAD, MATLAB and other specialised software.

  • Option to sit for Cambridge IGCSE Exams

    Cambridge IGCSE is recognised by leading universities globally and in Singapore, tertiary institutions like Singapore Management University and the 5 polytechnics (, grade for grade).

  • Essential Engineering and IT Skills

    Get trained in professional skills such as 3D printing, cyber security essentials, network essentials, and usage of AutoCAD (2D & 3D) software.

Duration

Students will be studying 6 modules, and are expected to complete the course within 9 months.

*Students have the option to sit for the IGCSE external examinations at 91看片网 Academy. They may use the IGCSE qualifications as an entry requirement to progress to the Certificate level. Students must achieve an overall mark of at least 50% in 91看片网 Academy internal assessments to satisfy our graduation requirements.

Mode of Assessment

Assessment of this course may include assignments, projects, online quizzes and external examinations. Cambridge IGCSE external examination sessions occur twice a year, in June and November. Results are issued in August and January.

Graduation Requirements

In order to graduate, students have to:

  • complete and pass the modules stipulated in the course structure

 

Academic Requirements

  • 2 GCE 'N' level (grade A-D or grade 1-5) or equivalent; OR
  • NITEC; OR
  • Mature candidates (≥30 years old with 8 years’ work experience); OR
  • Candidates with other qualifications will be considered as case-by-case basis

Minimum Age Requirement

  • 15 years old

English Language Requirement

  • GCE ‘N’ level English (grade A-D); OR
  • IELTS score of 5.5; OR
  • 91看片网 Academy's Certificate in English Proficiency programme; OR

  • An equivalent English language qualification
